What You Need to be Successful Online

High Speed Internet- RSU Works students will need high speed internet access in order to stream videos, access e-books, and download other class materials. Dial-up connections are not sufficient. Visit Resources to assist with software upgrades.

Space- To save assignments, notes, and other portfolio materials, students will need access to save their files to their personal computer, network drive, or other personal media storage device (USB/Jump Drive recommended).
Headset or Speakers and Microphone- In order for students to participate in Instructional Support Sessions and other verbal class activities, students should have access to a head-set, or speakers and a microphone.
Time and Space- Though students can do classwork virtually any time, communicating online often takes longer than it does in a live environment. Students should set aside at least 5 to 10 hours per week per class. Also, students should have a space designated specifically for school so they can concentrate on classwork with minimal distractions.
